Description
WHILE OTHER ABS 3D filament produces crumbling prints with poor layer adhesion and warps more than the Starship Enterprise, rigid.ink’s pure ABS formula gives a strong end-use plastic with excellent detail, layer adhesion and finish quality. Every. Single. Time.
If you need to create a truly long-lasting, durable end use part, ABS filament is a solid workhorse. Our pure ABS is free from contaminants and extruded to industry leading tolerances. This means each layer is perfectly smooth and strongly adhered that the lines are virtually indistinguishable at low layer heights – all without warp or cracking. We guarantee 100% reliability.
Need that extra smooth not-so-3d-printed finish? You can easily sand, drill or even acetone smooth ABS to leave it smooth like an injection moulded part. We cover this in more detail in our guides.
You’ll need a heated bed though and ABS requires higher printing temperatures. If you don’t need the high strength of ABS, we recommend using our standard PLA for most applications due to its surprisingly good all-round strength and ease of printing. Need a UV resistant version of ABS? Check out our ASA filament.
