Silica Sand
Description
Silica sand is one of the most common varieties of sand in the world and is derived from quartz crystals. It is used for a wide range of applications, including the creation of molds and cores for industrial castings. The advantage of using a common material such as silica sand for 3D printing is that it requires no changes at the foundry. Additionally, when used with furan binder, it is considered a “no bake” product, which means that printed silica sand molds and cores are immediately ready for casting.
